Who Is Joining Iraq's Government?
Iraq's parliament votes Thursday on its last cabinet seats. One nominee is under US sanctions. What the deal means for the IQD and the RV.

Today the question is who is being brought inside. Parliament has put one item on its agenda for Thursday: a vote on the last empty seats in Ali al-Zaidi's government, and on four new deputy prime ministers.
One thing has to be clear before the names. Parliament has published no list. What follows are the nominees their own blocs have put forward. None is confirmed, the list can still change, and the chamber has turned a nominee down before.
With that said, look at who they are. One is under US Treasury sanctions. Another is the son-in-law of Nouri al-Maliki. And Iraqi press has two new ministries set aside for militias that agreed to disarm. So today: the names being put forward, what each side got for them, and what it means for the IQD.
