On Tuesday US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent opened Ripple's Swell conference in Manhattan, the day after Washington chartered Ripple's own national trust bank. His message on the dollar: "We will keep our military umbrella, but I think more and more it's becoming a technology umbrella."
In Iraq the same week, the armed group that held Sinjar agreed to hand its weapons to the state, and the Central Bank said its reserves are back near $80 billion, with the cash still arriving by plane. The street held at 168,000 IQD for $100, against the bank's 152,000.
