Iraq's Foreign Minister, Fuad Hussein, says American forces have completely finished their withdrawal from Iraq, the Kurdistan Region included, 3 days ahead of the September 30 deadline. Every base and headquarters is now in Iraqi hands, the coalition's funding for the Peshmerga has ended, and the cabinet has declared Sovereignty Days, a state holiday from September 30 to October 3.

The government's spokesman said the United States agreed to continue cash dollar shipments, halted since April, citing Iraq's own controls over how dollars are distributed. An Iraqi lawmaker said Washington lifted its objection to a deputy prime minister nominee. Four Iraqi airports stopped taking Iranian flights under US aviation sanctions.
