The denial posted first. Then, within 2 hours, Iraqi lawmakers put the production order on the record: the central bank has finalized designs for a new series of banknotes, with roughly 7.5 billion notes to be produced across Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Two of those printing houses are new additions, brought in to speed up the process. A country in no hurry does not double its printing capacity.
The same day, Washington published the designation sheet behind Operation Economic Outcast: nearly 60 entities, individuals, and vessels across digital assets, gold, technology, aviation, and shipping. Iran's rial printed a record low. Syria came off the terrorism list after 47 years. And Iraq's 2027 budget, the paper that must carry the dinar's next number, got its date for parliament.
