Scott Bessent told Fox the American hoard is present and accounted for and worth more than $1 trillion at market, the largest pile held by any nation on earth. And Venezuela is further down that same road, its oil and its gold clearing through accounts the US Treasury holds, with about $300 million of $8 billion in oil revenue actually reaching Caracas.
